A Place of Healing,

Love, and Restoration

Meet Bishop Calvin Colquitt

Calvin Colquitt was born in 1951 to the late William and Martha Colquitt, a praying mother and a father with strong work ethics. By the age of 3, the gift of healing was operating in his life. He spent his youth being exposed to many amazing healing ministries that he saw through his mother.

At 14 years old, he gave his life to the Lord, received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and joined the Body of Christ Church. He later joined the Ormond Street Church of God in Christ, where he served faithfully as a brother.

Calvin was called into the ministry in 1969. In that same year, he also graduated from high school. He preached his first sermon in 1970. Within the same year, he united with Central Holiness Church under the leadership of Rev. J. T. Barnett, where he served in many capacities of the church.

In 1972, Calvin met and married Doris Turner; this union blessed them with 11 children. In 1984, in obedience to Pastor Rev. J. T. Barnett, he was sent to the Pentecostal Church of God to assist Pastor Berta Mae Stanley while she was ill.

He was consecrated to the office of the Bishop in October 2001. Now at 68 years old, Bishop Calvin Colquitt is the pastor of Vision Ministries Holiness Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a passion for souls and the joy of seeing the oppressed delivered and those in bondage

set free.

With more than 43 years of experience in the ministry, he has witnessed many miracles and saw many souls saved, set free, and delivered by the great power of Jesus Christ.

What we believe

  • There is only one God.
  • God is perfect.
  • God is omnipotent.
  • God is everywhere.
  • Christians believe that there is a life after earthly death
  • Prayer is the means by which Christians communicate with their God.
  • The church is fundamental to believers, and is recognized as God's body on earth.
  • The church is the place where the Christian faith is nurtured and where the Holy Spirit is manifest on earth.
  • It is where Christians are received into the faith and where they are brought together into one body through the Eucharist.
  • The Christian church believes in one baptism into the Christian church, whether this be as an infant or as an adult, as an outward sign of an inward commitment to the teachings of Jesus.
  • God knows everything.
  • God created the universe.
  • God keeps the universe going.
  • God intervenes in the universe.
  • Mankind can get to know God through prayer, worship, love, and spiritual experiences.
  • Mankind can get to know God through God's grace - that is through his love and his power.
  • God son lived on earth as Jesus.
  • Jesus was born to a human woman, Mary, but conceived of the Holy Spirit.
  • Because Jesus was wholly human, he was subject to pain, suffering, and sorrow like other human beings.
  • Jesus was executed by crucifixion but rose from the dead at the Resurrection.
  • Jesus's life provides a perfect example of how God wants people to live.
  • Jesus died on the Cross so that those who believe in him will be forgiven all their sins.
